Music to his Ears. This extraordinary Birder and Musician listens carefully and joyfully
Henry Griffin, baritone, currently studies vocal performance at the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Marlena Malas. Henry has sung all of his life including solo appearances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago as a boy soprano, as well as the more recent roles of Toby in “110 in the Shade” and Snug in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Chautauqua Conservatory. As well as being a pianist among other musical passions, Henry enjoys the hobby of birding (birdwatching). Henry has been admiring our feathered friends since the age of 12 and founded his organization, Oak Park Bird Walks, in 2014 at age 14 which has since then raised thousands in money toward conservation groups around the world. Henry has a bird life list of 1125 species and is always looking to add a new one!
